About the British Shorthair

The origin "British" as its name indicates it comes from England. "Shorthair" means that its fur is short. There are "British shorthairs" and "British longhairs", in our cattery we only breed British Shorthairs. The british is a very round cat. The head, the eyes, the ears, the paws are round and the tail has a rounded end. The British Shorthair cat is of average to large size. They are strong muscular cats with a heavy morphology. The male can weigh between 5 to 8 kg. The female when her full size is reached weighs between 3 to 5 kg. The British Shorthair has an extraordinary pallet of colors and the color of their eyes depend on the color of the fur. Their character is "solid gold" they are very friendly, loving cats, they are never aggressive. Never a tap, nor a scratch. They are calm cats by nature, and are always present but not invading. They like company and it get along very well with other animals like dogs, and makes him an ideal companion for humans. They adore children.

In short they are the ideal family cat !
